We sourced this coffee through Direct Origin Trading, a direct trade collective based out of Bogota, Colombia. They link small farmers with small roasters, like ourselves, taking care of export/import as well as providing quality analysis and technical assistance to the farmers. We were able to get our hands on the single sack of this green that went stateside.

Finca la Rivera, a 25 hectare lot in the mountainous region of Risaralda, grows a beautiful red bourbon that has distinguished itself in recent years, winning the YARA National Cup Quality Competition in 2015.  

While pleasurable on drip, we've decided to develop this bean a bit longer for espresso, as the complexities revealed through the portafilter are unparalleled.
