Fazenda Samambaia is a standout farm in Brazil’s Sul de Minas region, with a coffee legacy stretching back to 1896. Owned and operated by Henrique Dias Cambraia, the farm is located between the Grande and São Francisco river basins - an ideal microclimate that Henrique credits as key to Samambaia’s quality and consistency. With 619 of its 1,800 hectares dedicated to coffee and a full-time team of 51 employees, the farm is known for precision and care at every stage of production.
In 2023, our co-founders Nico and Jeff had the opportunity to visit Fazenda Samambaia and witness firsthand the deep commitment to sustainability and quality. Henrique is not only a respected producer, but also a founding member of San Coffee, a carbon-neutral, B-Corp certified, cooperative and global leader in environmentally responsible coffee production.
In the cup, this lot is vibrant and sunny. We taste papaya, orange, and caramel - a sweet and gently tropical profile that reflects the warmth and care behind it.
