Service Technician (Full-Time 40+ Hours)
Lost Sock Roasters – Washington, DC
- Help build and lead Lost Sock’s equipment service division
- Oversee client relationships with urgency and professionalism
- Manage and help improve service systems, SOPs, and tracking tools
- Perform maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installations
- Source and manage parts and inventory
- Represent the Lost Sock brand with integrity and care
- This role requires initiative, strong communication, organization, and full dedication to protecting client relationships and company information.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in coffee service tech
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with La Marzocco and/or Slayer machines preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- 40 hours/week (flexibility required for urgent or off-hours service needs)
- 80 hours PTO per year

Kitchen Leader (Full-Time 32-45 Hours)
Lost Sock Roasters – Washington, DC
At Lost Sock Roasters, great food is just as important as great coffee. We’re looking for a Kitchen Leader who takes real ownership of our food program and team. Someone who brings creativity, consistency, and care to every shift, and who understands that the kitchen is as much a part of the guest experience as what’s in the cup.
About the Role
This is a leadership position at the heart of our cafe operation. You will:

Own and help grow an evolving food program that reflects our standards for quality

Lead, support, and develop a small team of kitchen staff

Bake grab-and-go items and prep all sauces, garnishes, and jams daily

Execute made-to-order items and sandwiches with speed and consistency

Manage inventory rotation and ordering from local suppliers to minimize waste
-
Build and refine kitchen systems, workflows, and cleanliness standards
-
Maintain a beautifully clean, welcoming cafe environment — kitchen, equipment, and front of house

Set the tone for a positive, collaborative atmosphere among the team and with guests
This role requires genuine leadership, a high standard for cleanliness and organization, and a passion for food that matches our passion for coffee.
Qualifications

2 to 4 years of kitchen experience

Comfortable with early shifts (starting 6:00am) and weekend availability

Experience leading or managing a small kitchen team

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to develop and follow systems and processes

Positive, team-first attitude
