This may be a familiar face for those who've been drinking with us for a while. This is our second year working with Karla, and the first time we've sourced some of her natural processed coffee. Karla's quality of crop and processing has improved this year.
We've also been able to bring over some of her washed coffee, which we roasted last year. Keep posted for our release of that coffee - tasting the two side by side is a great way to see the effects of processing clearly.
This natural lot is dried between the sun and parabolic dryers for approximately 20 days. We take this coffee to a medium roast to accentuate sweetness and mellow out some of the winey-ness. The result is a fruit punch with strong notes of blackberry and plum.
