Always a favorite, the Laboyano is back :) We are getting notes of hibiscus and red apple with a toffee sweetness.
This is a fully traceable group lot from Coffee Quest's station in Pitalito. It's a meticulously crafted lot thanks to Coffee Quest's operations at their dry mill in Antioquia, which we had the pleasure of visiting in 2022. When it comes to these community lots, with over 50 different farmers contributing coffees, creating a consistent blend is key. A generous amount of pink bourbon mixed in helps elevate Laboyano to another level.
The name of this coffee comes from "El Valle de Laboyos", as the area around the city of Pitalito is called. The term Laboyano is the colloquial Spanish word to refer to people from this region. The name is a tribute to the hard work of the several dedicated Laboyanos who produce these high quality coffees.
