At long last our first Ethiopian coffee of the season has arrived! We welcome back the Yabitu Koba, a coffee we haven't sourced since 2017. It's a unique cup with bright notes of clementine and tamarind with an earthy oolong flavor. This is one of the highest grown coffees we source, and you'll see how this elevation affects the size of the beans. Tiny beans, big flavor! 

Yabitu Koba hails from the Uraga district in Guji, part of Ethiopia's Oromia region. Guji is one of Ethiopia's oldest coffee-growing areas. Koba, meaning "false banana tree" in Oromiffa, is a remote town that becomes particularly hard to reach during the rainy season. Despite life's challenges in Koba, its producers are celebrated in the specialty coffee world for their dedication, ancestral coffee wisdom, and exceptional quality.
