Producer: Miguel Clovis Brugnoli Junior
Altitude: 1250 meters
Varietal: Yellow Catucaí
Process: Natural Anaerobic
This microlot of Yellow Catucaí comes from Fazenda São Carlos, a historic farm perched on the edge of an ancient volcanic caldera in Brazil’s Poços de Caldas region. With elevations ranging from 970 to 1250 masl and uniquely fertile soil, the farm enjoys ideal conditions for producing distinct and expressive coffees.
Processed using a natural anaerobic method, this lot delivers an intense, fruit-forward cup with a winey acidity and candy-like sweetness. We taste strawberry, cascara, and almond, with an aromatic complexity reminiscent of dried fruit and clove.
São Carlos has been producing coffee for generations and is now part of SanCoffee, a carbon-nuetral cooperative and a leader in sustainable coffee production in Brazil. The farm’s approach is deeply rooted in environmental stewardship and community responsibility - values that align with our own.
This is a bold and character-driven coffee that showcases the vibrant possibilities of Brazil’s evolving specialty landscape.
