Yabitu Koba comes from the remote Koba kebele in Guji’s Uraga district, one of Ethiopia’s oldest coffee-growing regions. Grown at 2,300 meters by smallholder farmers and processed as a washed coffee, this lot showcases the clarity and elegance Guji is known for.
In the cup, expect a refined, tea-like profile with notes of tamarind, oolong, and bright clementine - vibrant acidity balanced by structure and a clean finish.
Producers in Koba farm using traditional intercropping methods and transport cherry by horse, mule, or donkey to the washing station, often navigating difficult conditions shaped by an increasingly long rainy season. Despite these challenges, their dedication and generational knowledge result in coffees of exceptional quality.
